New Bach recordings

In the summer of 2025, Jan-Willem was a guest for nearly three months at the Trappist Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven in Berkel-Enschot, near Tilburg. His grand piano was moved there in May, and from that moment on, he prepared daily for the recording of two monumental Bach compositions.

Goldberg Variations It has been ten years since he made his debut with his first recording of the Goldberg Variations. How would this piece sound after a decade? He spent the past year exploring this question on concert stages, ultimately recording this new version on June 4, 5, and 6. The release is expected in mid-November 2025.
